Fenn traps should be set along regular mustelid runways being used with either a plastic trap cover (single or double) or wooden box.
Designed to catch rats, stoats, weasles. Available in two sizes Mk4 and Mk6.
These traps are designed to be set in 'runs' (regular pathway) or beneath trap cover that guide the animal over the set trap.
They are a kill trap and break the animals spine.
The Mk6 will capture and kill a Stoat or Ferret but if set lightly will also take out the smaller animals.
Mk 4 is best suited for capture of Rats and Stoats |

Fenn traps can either be set on regular rabbit runways or placed into scrapes (i.e hollows) made in the ground. When placing Fenn traps in scrapes they need to be covered with fine soil, making sure they have room to operate in the holes, and the jaws should almost touch the top of the hole when sprung. Failure to do this can result in rabbits going over the top without getting caught, or being foul caught.THE USER NEEDS TO BE STRONG IN THE HANDS TO USE THIS TRAP. Siting the trap in those areas where the rabbits move or feed will over time catch the rabbits in that area. Traps do not need to be baited for this reason. |
